The 24th Biennial NSW Weeds Conference will be hosted by Western Sydney Weeds Authority in partnership with the NSW Weeds Society. It will be held at the Western Sydney Convention Centre in Penrith on the 6th to 9th September 2027. The long running event will bring together professionals from across the weeds sector focussing on the latest research, innovations and practical solutions. The conference also provides a forum for updates in NSW biosecurity governance arrangements. The weeds conference has not been held in Sydney since 1987 (Hawkesbury Agricultural College, Richmond) so this represents a rare opportunity.
The Organising Committee was formed on 30 July 2026, and is Chaired by Mr. Matt Kennedy, representing the NSW Weeds Society. The General Manager, Mr. Chris Dewhurst will function as Deputy Chair and Local Delivery Lead and representing our organisation.

- Field trip locations and field guides.
- Local and regional businesses to sponsor or present a display.
- Direct sponsorship of event (various grades).
- Assistance with pre-event planning and on the day logistics.
- Attend the event.
The conference website will be updated soon, or Contact Us if you would like to be involved.
